Poster

The recommended format of poster is size B1 = 70.7 cm x 100.0 cm in vertical position (100 cm from top to bottom). However, if you already printed your poster – don’t worry, you will get a space to place it.

Make sure, you present context of your research (explain why did you undertake that research), the objective, main methods, main results and conclusion, which is responding to your objective, adding ‘take home message’ at the end.

Please bring your poster on Wednesday, June 12, early in a day 8.00 am to ECS, where conference starts with plenary session. Posters will be mounted with clips or stuck to the wall – all provided by the organisers.

 

Presentation

There will be 10 minutes for each speaker in technical sessions plus 5 minutes for discussion/Q&A after each presentation. Time will be strictly controlled by session chairs/moderators.

Please prepare maximum eight (8) slides with compulsory information about your findings. You can add more slides if you have nice pictures or films supporting the presentation.

Please avoid slides packed with text only, with long list of many conclusions and restrain from reading slides only. There will be nearly 100 presentations during the conference, it is aimed that you give message to the conference participants so you can have point for discussion during the coffee break.

If your session finish earlier – there is more time for discussion and you will have longer coffee break – enjoy it, have constructive discussions, but also have fun with your colleagues!

by June 10. If you face any technical difficulties - please bring your presentation on Tuesday, June 11, for Ice breaking – registration, which starts at 18.30. If you don’t plan to attend Ice breaking, please bring it on Wednesday, 8.00, to ECS, before plenary session. Presentations will be collected on that day until 8.30. Please also keep a backup of your presentation on your device and a pendrive, just in case.

Except that, enjoy your time in Gdańsk, give yourself time for sightseeing and take advantage of café, bars and restaurants over the three cities: Gdańsk, Sopot and Gdynia!
